Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in our garden, Hillbark, which is in Bardsey, near Leeds. We hope these pages will give you some further information and that you will visit the garden to see for yourself what we have done over the last 25 years.

We have fixed the dates for our 2012 openings - click here for further information

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of our first Open Garden day for charity, and we would like to mark the occasion by beating our previous record visitor numbers which for one single day was 535 (June 1992 - the very first!) and for a year 1068 (in 2010).

David Stevens, Chelsea award winning garden designer, described Hillbark as 'a large and beautifully terraced garden that drops gently through a series of impeccably detailed and planted rooms, from the formality around the house to a serene lake at the bottom of the slope. The design takes you on a voyage of ever-changing vistas that unfold as you move around the garden, a genuine work of horticultural art.'
